How Do Online Classes Work?     What Do I Need To Take An Online Class?
  1. If you have signed up for the online class through a school, you will receive an email from me (about 1/2 hour before class is about to begin) along with a link to click on. A small download may be required of you before entering the virtual classroom).  Go the classroom as soon as possible, so you could familiarize yourself with the classroom and fix any problems should they occur upon entering.  I will be there to help you and talk you through any questions/problems.
  2. Once you get your email and click on the link, you will enter your first and last name into the designated window. I will be able to see who is logged on and when you log off.
  3. When you enter the classroom, you will see my screen on your computer screen. Sit back and watch and listen to the class and enjoy!
  4. After class begins I will mute all students, so all questions must be held until the end of class,or you may type in a question in the chat window.
*Muting is done to eliminate any interuptions from students who have mics and have activity going on (barking dogs, crying babies, lawn mowers, etc).

  1. A Computer... A Personal, Laptop, or Mac Computer will do.
  2. Internet Explorer® 6.0 or newer, Mozilla® Firefox® 2.0 or newer (JavaScript™ and Java™ enabled)
  3. Windows® 2000, XP, 2003 Server or Vista
  4. Cable modem, DSL, or better Internet connection.
  5. Minimum of Pentium® class 1GHz CPU with 512 MB of RAM (recommended) (2 GB of RAM for Windows® Vista)
  6. A headset with a microphone attached. If you do not have a microphone attached to your headset and only have speakers, you will be able to hear me through your speakers, but you will not be able to talk back to me except through the chat window (a USB headset is recommended).
