  LIVE Webinar Classes!

Take a class from the comforts of your very own home with a LIVE instructor.

What is a LIVE Online Webinar Class?

It is an online seminar, in which a moderator presents information to an audience, but all the participants "gather" virtually, each at his or her own computer. You, as a student will have an opportunity to speak thru chat, or a mic - if you have one (restrictions apply). *You may also call a phone number to hear and speak through your phone, but long distant rates may apply if you don't have free long distance.

You will see the instructor's screen on your computer screen and hear the instructor speak just like a live class!

There are optional CDs for all online classes.
You may order a CD through online digital delivery, or hard copy
(hard copy requires additional $2.50 media postage).

All CDs are $29.00 except the Caregiving CD which is $35.00.

Why Take Live Online Classes?

  • They are safer: stay at home in a safe environment and take an online class.
  • Cutting travel costs : save on high gas prices and save on the wear and tear on your vehicle.
  • Comfort: take a class in your pajamas if you want, no one will see what you are wearing.
  • Child or Adult Care: if you are a parent with small children, you need not worry about finding and paying a sitter. If you are a caregiver with a loved one, you need not worry about finding and hiring a sitter.
  • Convenience: if you are unable to get out due to illness, or injury, the classes come directly to your home.
  • Learn new skills: taking an online webinar class will teach you new skills in technology. Students become more technologically savvy. You can enroll for a Web-based course with little previous online experience, based on prerequisites for a given course.
  • Less intimidating: participating online is much less intimidating than "in the classroom." Anonymity provides students a level playing field undisturbed by bias caused by seating arrangement, gender, race and age. Students can also think longer about what they want to say and add their comments when ready. In a traditional class room, the conversation could have gone way past the point where the student wants to comment.
  • Access - online courses enable students to take a course who live too far away to attend face to face courses.

How Do Online Classes Work?     What Do I Need To Take An Online Class?
  1. If you have signed up for the online class through a school, you will receive an email from me (about 1/2 hour before class is about to begin) along with a link to click on. A small download may be required of you before entering the virtual classroom).  Go to the classroom as soon as possible, so you could familiarize yourself with the classroom and fix any problems should they occur upon entering.  I will be there to help you and talk you through any questions/problems.
  2. Once you get your email and click on the link, you will enter your first and last name into the designated window. I will be able to see who is logged on and when you log off.
  3. When you enter the classroom, you will see my screen on your computer screen. Sit back and watch and listen to the class and enjoy!
  4. After class begins I will mute all students, so all questions must be held until the end of class,or you may type in a question in the chat window.
*Muting is done to eliminate any interuptions from students who have mics and have activity going on (barking dogs, crying babies, lawn mowers, etc).

  1. A Computer... A Personal, Laptop, or Mac Computer will do.
  2. Internet Explorer® 6.0 or newer, Mozilla® Firefox® 2.0 or newer (JavaScript™ and Java™ enabled)
  3. Windows® 2000, XP, 2003 Server or Vista
  4. Cable modem, DSL, or better Internet connection.
  5. Minimum of Pentium® class 1GHz CPU with 512 MB of RAM (recommended) (2 GB of RAM for Windows® Vista)
  6. A headset with a microphone attached. If you do not have a microphone attached to your headset and only have speakers, you will be able to hear me through your speakers, but you will not be able to talk back to me except through the chat window (a USB headset is recommended).
